Doljanchi (Dol) - Traditional Korean First Birthday PartyThis past Saturday was little Katrina's Doljanchi or Dol (traditional Korean first birthday party). The highlight of the celebration is letting the little one choose from a set of objects laid out in front of her. What she chooses is said to determine her future. Katrina chose the abacus (twice) which symbolizes intelligence. I can already tell that she's a smart cookie! Despite having a little bit of a cold she was the sweetest little birthday princess!
