Exploring Ponemah Mills in Taftville CTIf you know me, you know that I like nothing better than urban exploring, the more dilapidated the better! So I was thrilled that my mom wanted to take me down to the old mill in Taftville the day after Christmas. She's a photographer too, and she loves exploring hidden places as much as I do! Ponemah Mills opened in 1871 and was at one time one of the largest textile mills in the country! They've started renovating it (there were actually people working in one of the back rooms while we were looking around) and by late 2016 it will be filled with condos. It's so nice to see that they aren't going to tear it down, but I'm glad I got to go in and check it out before it was all redone!
